The Hoof is loosely based on the classic Russian Green fuzz circuit and features a hybrid Germanium/Silicon design, combining maximum tone with thermal stability—something you won't find in expensive, delicate vintage units. We hand-match our NOS Germanium transistors to exacting specifications to ensure maximum consistency from pedal to pedal, eliminating any guesswork when purchasing fuzz and ensuring your Hoof delivers the same smooth, natural, and harmonically rich sustain as all your friends' Hoofs. Controls

Shift: Adjusts the midrange content; clockwise for scooped mids, counterclockwise for boosted mids.

Tone: Bass on the left, treble on the right.

Level: Use this control to make the Hoof louder or softer.

Fuzz: Clockwise for a louder sound, counterclockwise for a softer sound.

Switching

This device is true bypass and uses relay-based electronic switching. Audio will not pass without power.

Power Supply

This device uses a standard 9-volt DC power supply with a 2.1 mm negative center barrel. We always recommend using transformer-isolated wall power supplies specifically designed for pedals or power supplies with multiple isolated outputs. Pedals will produce additional noise if there is ripple or an unclean power supply. Switching power supplies, daisy-chaining, and non-pedal-specific power supplies don't filter dirty power well and allow unwanted noise to pass through. DO NOT USE AT HIGHER VOLTAGES!
