Roland Jupiter-6 (JP-6) Analogue with Europa digital modification, polyphonic synth, purchased in 1984. The control panel is light grey, not the usual black. It was sold as a Japanese Grey Import.

Still a favourite after all these years, my 'one of a kind' Roland Jupiter-6 is an original owner polyphonic synth circa 1984, all in excellent working condition.

Specifications & Features:

• 6-voice analogue polyphonic synthesizer with 2 oscillators per voice.

• Classic Roland filters with multimode (HP/BP/LP) resonance.

• Extensive modulation capabilities (cross-mod, PWM, sync, etc.).

• Split and layer modes with independent patch settings.

• Built-in arpeggiator with external MIDI clock sync.

• A custom 8 position rotary panel switch that allows for 8 additional analogue banks. Total analogue presets count was raised to 512.

• Configured and installed by Roland expert Eric Persing, while still with Roland in California.

• MIDI in/out integration in analogue as well as fully operational Europa digital mode.

• Analogue system preset data can be recorded to tape or by audio interface to any computer, enabling recall of all saved presets.

• While in Europa mode, all presets and MIDI data, etc. can be saved via MIDI to any computer with access to a MIDI interface. 

• Europa provides an additional eight 64 preset banks, allowing for up to 1024 total presets.

• It is possible to exchange analogue presets into Europa's digital bank slots, enabling saving utilising MIDI. With Europa, the JP-6 becomes a fully hybrid analogue/digital synth.

• The extra output audio cable is stereo, allowing user programmable, semi-stereo presets.

• Includes JP-6 operational manual along with all documentation detailing the Europa Mod.

• Unlike typical USA models, this JP-6 is currently configured for 220vac (Can be reversed to 117vac or Japanese 100vac as required).

Unit Condition:

• Fully functional, with all voices, knobs, sliders and buttons working as per factory specs.

• Cosmetic condition is good, considering it has been in and out of storage for over 50+ years, leaving some slight 'non operational' roughness on minor areas of the control surface.

• As can be seen in provided photos, the original end plates and panel graphics remain in good condition

• In addition to the custom stereo output cable with power cord, a custom, soft-shell gig bag is included in the sale.

This vintage synthesiser is universally known for its smooth, warm tones, gorgeously lush pads, sharp edge leads and experimental textures, absolutely perfect for collectors, producers and sound designers, etc.
