For those who know, Fender absolutely nailed it with the American Original series. It replaced the American Vintage (AVRI) line by combining period-correct vintage aesthetics with modern, player friendly neck specs. Because this series is now discontinued, these specific guitars have become incredibly sought after—especially the '70s Custom layout.
This model features the first authentic period-correct Tim Shaw CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker, delivering fat, chiming '70s clarity that punches right through a mix.
Finished in a Nitrocellulose lacquer that lets the wood breathe and resonate.
