PRS S2 Vela Satin Red Apple Metallic, 2025 Model

The S2 Vela Satin is a vintage-inspired guitar with a rich personality and tonal textures. The Vela features a contemporary offset body shape, and the addition of a thin, satin nitro finish provides extra resonance and a truly smooth feel. It has a mahogany body.

The pickguard-equipped electronics feature a PRS DS-01 pickup in the treble position, which delivers a bright, punky tone, while the PRS Narrowfield pickup in the bass position gives the Vela a distinctive bite. The coil tap on the tone control allows the treble pickup to be split into single coils, providing additional tonal versatility.

The foundation of this guitar is the PRS plate-style bridge with two nuts, designed to compensate for intonation. This bridge is reminiscent of Paul's early designs and traditional bass plate-style bridges, but it attaches from the top for easy string changes. Like the bridge on Paul's Guitar and some Private Stock models, the PRS plate-style bridge features brass nuts and a steel plate for maximum tone.
