I am offering a Ibanez LGB300 from 2021, the handcrafted in Nagoya, Aichi (Japan), legendary hollow-body archtop George Benson luxury signature model with handy 16.5" body including Florentine cutaway, arched laminated spruce top, arched back and sides made of laminated maple, set-in three-piece maple neck with LGB neck profile and 45mm wide bone nut, two warm-midrange Ibanez Super 58 humbucker pickups, bound ebony fingerboard with elaborate acrylic/abalone split block inlays, height-adjustable floating ebony bridge and LGB300 tailpiece and high-quality Gotoh SGL510 tuners in a brilliant vintage yellow sunburst high-gloss finish with elegant gold hardware in mint condition, including original black Ibanez luxury hardshell case and professional setup with 12-gauge D'Addario flatwound strings.

Whether it's nimble solo passages, warm-sounding jazz harmonies, or his characteristic scat singing, who doesn't know George Benson? He is one of the most famous jazz guitarists of the 21st century and, with his incredible virtuosity, ranks among the best of all time. He has been making music history for almost half a century, and in addition to his impressive solo style and playing technique, it is above all his Ibanez Jazz hollow-body guitars that serve as the flagship for this exceptional talent.

The successful collaboration between Ibanez and George Benson began in 1977, when Ibanez, in close consultation with GB, launched a signature model handmade in Japan that combined all the specifications that made George Benson famous – the birth of the GB10.

The Ibanez LGB300 is the modern Japanese evolution of the legendary hollowbody archtop signature model and, as Ibanez's top-tier model, combines traditional craftsmanship with modern precision for an incomparably elegant aesthetic and superb tonal warmth. The handy 16.5" hollowbody body consists of an arched spruce top and maple arched back and sides, which, in combination with the classic hollowbody construction, delivers a wonderfully open, resonant sound with a pronounced midrange focus and velvety response – perfect for jazz, soul, and blues.

The three-piece set-in maple neck with LGB neck profile and 45mm wide bone nut offers a comfortable playing feel with confident access across the entire fretboard. The bound ebony fingerboard with elaborate acrylic/abalone split block inlays underscores the luxurious feel of the guitar and at the same time ensures direct, articulate playability.

Sonically, the LGB300 is extremely versatile: the two Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers offer the classic warm-mid tone with fine dynamics and clear highs – characteristic of George Benson's legendary sound. Thanks to the floating ebony bridge and the elegant LGB300 tailpiece, the guitar develops exceptional acoustic resonance and response, while the precise Gotoh SGL510 tuners ensure excellent tuning stability.

A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.

Visually, the instrument captivates with its elegant vintage yellow sunburst high-gloss finish, multi-ply cream bindings, and gold hardware, which, together with the bound flamed maple pickguard, create an unmistakable classic look. A masterfully crafted jazz guitar that impresses in sound, appearance, and feel alike.
