One of the greatest guitars and a real gem in our store. A gorgeous Gibson ES-345 TD in a beautiful tobacco sunburst with fantastic patina and a ton of mojo, fitted with the original legendary PAF’s. The guitar was delivered new in the popular stop tail configuration and never had a tremolo fitted.
The neck feels typically quite wide and not too slim. The guitar, originally designed in stereo, has been reconfigured to mono and comes in its original case. It even still has the long guard, which is normally reserved for the 50s versions. The two PAFs sound fantastic and impress with their open transparency, clear bite and bony overtone spectrum.
The encapsulated pots were not removed for dating. However, we assume that they are the original CTS pots, as the capsules are intact.
All in all, this dream guitar meets the expectations of a Gibson from the golden years in its outstanding quality.
