The Gibson Custom Johnny Cash SJ-200 Vintage Cherry Sunburst guitar honours the legacy of music icon Johnny Cash.  This limited-edition instrument is a recreation of the SJ-200 guitars Gibson built for Cash in the late 1950s.  Only 100 of these guitars were handcrafted by the luthiers at the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana.

This SJ-200 features a Super Jumbo body style, constructed with AAA flamed maple back and sides, and a AAA Sitka spruce top.  Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing supports the top. The guitar's body is finished with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer in Vintage Cherry Sunburst.  The 2-piece flamed maple neck with a walnut stringer has a round profile and a 25.5-inch scale length.  The Indian rosewood fingerboard has a 12-inch radius and 20 standard small crown frets.  Mother of pearl inlays spell out "Johnny Cash" on the fretboard.  The nut is made of bone and has a width of 1.725 inches.

The guitar features a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint secured with hot hide glue.  The gold-finished bridge is a four-bar SJ-200 Moustache design made of rosewood, with a bone saddle.  Gotoh tuning machines with green keystone buttons ensure tuning stability.  A black Johnny Cash "Batwing" pickguard is a distinctive feature.  The truss rod is adjustable and covered by a black cover with a wide white stripe.  White TUSQ bridge pins with black dots complement the guitar's aesthetics.  A cream end pin is installed for strap attachment.  The guitar is strung with .012-.053 gauge strings and comes with a custom Johnny Cash hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity.
