The Dirty Little Secret from Catalinbread is one of the best known Marshall style amp in a box pedals. In the current MKIII version it has the possibility to choose between 2 classic Amp simulations: the Super Lead with its aggressive highs and the Super Bass with its smoother, darker ground sound, both from the Plexi era. The gain range in Super Lead mode is expanded - you can also reach the rich Crunch of a JCM 800 if necessary, the super bass mode blends well with fuzz pedals. The characteristic 3-band EQ is adapted to the respective selected Amp Type. The pedal can be operated with 18 volt operating voltage, creating a more transparent base sound with more headroom. The ground effect reacts like an old amp on playing technique and the volume control on the guitar.
