BIGZUN ATT2 – Dual Passive Attenuator, 4HP Eurorack Module (assembled and tested)

ATT2 is a compact 4HP dual passive attenuator – two independent channels, A and B, each with its own level knob. Each channel goes from silence (knob fully left) to the full input signal (knob fully right) – with the knob at max, OUT = IN, with no loss.

IN B is normalled to IN A: with nothing plugged into IN B, both channels receive the same signal – one source, two independent levels. A plug in IN B breaks the normalling.

Fully passive – no power, no ribbon cable, no current draw.

Use cases

• Taming hot LFOs, envelopes and random voltages before a CV input
• Setting modulation depth on modules without their own attenuators
• One signal, two levels – the same LFO to two destinations with different amounts
• Lowering audio levels between modules

Honest note

Like every passive attenuator, ATT2 can only attenuate (0 … 1×), not amplify or invert. There is no buffering – in the middle of the knob travel the level depends a little on the input impedance of the next module. Not meant for precise 1V/oct pitch scaling. For gain, inversion or offset, choose an active attenuverter.
