The Alesis DM10 is a drum module that handles the sound engine for an electronic kit. It uses 16-bit uncompressed samples of real drums and cymbals with Dynamic Articulation, so timbre shifts with playing dynamics rather than just volume. It offers 64-voice polyphony, 1,047 preset sounds and 100 overwritable preset kits, plus 128 MB of linear memory and USB loading of new sound sets. There are 12 trigger inputs and a hi-hat controller input, with expansion via the Trigger|iO unit for 10 additional inputs. Connectivity includes stereo main and assignable aux outputs, a headphone output, stereo RCA auxiliary inputs, class-compliant USB and MIDI In/Out, and a six-fader top-panel mixer balances individual drum levels and accompaniment.
