About This Model

The Origin Effects RevivalDRIVE Custom is a dual-channel overdrive pedal built around all-analog discrete transistor circuitry designed to recreate the complete signal path of a cranked vintage valve amplifier - from preamp and phase inverter through to power amp, rectifier, and reactive speaker load stages. Two rectifier channels simulate valve and silicon rectification respectively, giving distinct power amp sag characteristics, while dual Class-A preamp stages handle realistic gain staging. The Custom variant adds an expanded EQ2 section with mode, frequency, cut, and shelf controls for precise tonal matching. A variable Ghost control recreates the ghost-note effect of a pushed vintage amp, and a dedicated Power Amp Mode allows direct connection to IR loaders, flat-response power amps, or a DAW for recording use. DIP switches handle US/GB mains frequency simulation and rectifier configuration. The pedal accepts standard 9V DC center-negative power and connects via standard 1/4-inch TS input and output jacks.
