A very complete Hughes and Kettner Bassmaster unit; a recording and live tool to drag your bass sound even further. It is a real tube amp that runs with a real preamp tube (12AX7 / ECC83) and powertube (EL84) on real tube amp voltages.
The preamp has controls for gain (pure tube overdrive), tone (a combination of the treble and bass knob) and a master volume on only the preamp setting. Further you can boost your specific bass, middle and treble frequencies with the switches located above the knobs.
With the last switch you can determine to add the powertube or run the preamp on only the preamp tube. Running the powertube in preamp mode a load is connected to the output to balance the output to ground but also take this output (reduced in volume) to feed your amp or mixer.
On the 'Speaker' setting the amp works as a 5W tube amp.
A very known and well sounding recording tool or usefull item in any bass rig to add tube compression, gain or just THAT tube sound!
