A Fender Precision Bass manufactured in 1977.

While it has some modifications, this makes it a great value, and it’s a great-sounding instrument.

It features an ash body and rosewood fingerboard, typical of that era.

The punchy tone produced by the heavy body is something you can only experience with instruments from this era.

The neck date clearly shows 1977; while the nut has been replaced, the frets are original.

Although the action is low, it plays smoothly without any muffled tones—it’s just right.

The date on the volume pot is hidden by solder and cannot be read, but the tone pot shows a date of Week 41, 1976.

The capacitor is a Circle D .05μF unit, and the pickups have been replaced with Nordstrand NP4V models.

There are other modifications, such as the replacement of the bridge with a Badass model, but as mentioned earlier, this guitar produces a truly delightful sound.

There is plenty of truss rod adjustment left, so there’s still room for further tuning.

This punch makes playing a real joy.

The Nordstrand and Badass parts add just the right touch, giving it a nicely tight tone.
