Longer Story....!

Here we have a serious piece of Japanese craftsmanship made by Hayshi Gakki, and in their heyday.

Hayashi guitars were made under supervision of Japanese treasure - Master Luthier Yasuo Momose, responsible for the cheeky C.F Mountain branded guitars (which are also excellent) amongst others, and later went on to create the world famed Headway guitars which are still made to this day - see our other inventory.

Tone wise, these guitars are nothing short of majestic, and instruments worthy of only the best player, hence why I sell them! ;)

Seriously though, we are lucky enough to have private stock of a few select Hayashi guitars here already, otherwise this would be 100% keeper....

In the spirit of the dreadnought this guitar offers a full, rich and deeply balanced tone with subtly complex harmonics and overtones that only develop to this extent with such an experienced and well played vintage.

Rarity
Very rare guitar outside of Japan, and very few of these in the UK, Rider custom guitars are amongst the most mysterious guitars made in Japan..

The R-600 is mid to high range in the series, it excels most other 60,000 yen guitars from the era, we are real fans of this maker!

Cosmetics

Looks like a 50 year old guitar that has seen careful, consistent use yielding consistent and honest wear, nothing to put a player off

Structure

There are no structural repairs or issues.

Frets have been levelled/crowned/polished

Bridge is slotted for enhanced intonation

Unslotted rosewood bridge pins are fitted

Some nice adjustment room on the saddle

Truss rod functions as it should

For those looking for a Martin style vintage with the credentials of one of the best makers of the time, along with the build stock at its zenith in the late 70's, this piece has to be a serious contender, and if you see anything elsewhere that you think is better than this, all I can say is BUY IT! ;)
