Up for sale, a 2004 Rickenbacker Prototype 325C58/12 “Blue Boy” in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. An extremely unique Rickenbacker model, this custom color Blue Boy is from a storied run of 12 prototypes made from C series test bodies, commissioned by a primary player on the team that developed the C series guitars and identifiable by the "NT" markings inside the control cavity (this is 12 of 12). Wholly unique in its feature set, this guitar is factory outfitted with the active compressor circuit/harness of a Roger McGuinn model.

This 325C58/12 delivers on the promise of classic Rickenbacker jangle and sparkle, with a notably short scale length of 21”, particularly resonant via the semi-hollow Eastern Rock Maple construction. This 325C58/12 is loaded with a trio of Rickenbacker's Toaster Top single coils, boasting Alnico magnet construction, capturing the full sonic spectrum of all twelve strings. The compact size of the 325 makes chord extensions a breeze, and the four-position rotary compressor enables onboard squash and smoothing, with a huge array of sounds achievable via unique combinations of the various compression levels and Ric’s ingenious fifth Blend knob.
