2000 Ibanez Prestige RG2020X Transparent Light Blue w/ DiMarzio + Piezo

Up for sale, a 2000 Ibanez Prestige RG2020X in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This unique Ibanez model was crafted at the Fujigen factory as part of the upper-tiered Prestige line, featuring a Double Lo Pro Edge tremolo with a built-in L.R. Baggs undersaddle piezo pickup that can be engaged separately from the upgraded DiMarzio humbuckers.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body, three-piece maple neck, and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, and this RG2020X weighs 8lbs. The DiMarzio humbucker pair comprises an Air Zone in the bridge position and a PAF Pro at the neck; the Air Zone combines the singing sustain of Airbuckers with the big bass and harmonic richness of a Tone Zone, resulting in a notably sensitive, dynamic pickup that handles gain very well without any mud or unwanted fuzziness. The PAF Pro is one of DiMarzio’s most classic humbuckers, designed to deliver the open, clear sound of a PAF with more presence and cut to ensure no muddiness when played through effects. It has an ideal blend of snap and chunk, with a spike in the midrange that provides a subtle “aw” vowel sound, described by DiMarzio as “like a wah-wah pedal stopped in the middle.” The L.R. Baggs undersaddle piezo pickup delivers warm, acoustic-esque brightness and immediacy, with independent outputs for the piezo and magnetic pickups (the pickups can also be stacked at one output, but only toggled back and forth without blending). This RG2020X has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The Transparent Light Blue finish has yellowed to a rich teal hue, with an exposed band of mahogany visually functioning as top binding. Cosmetic wear includes pick scuffing on top, light buckle rash central to the back, several small chips along the lower bout perimeter, and a few dings on top at the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth satin finish, and there is a small chip at the end of the peghead.

The original padded gigbag is included, along with the informational plastic insert for the controls.
