Tweed Deluxe 5A3 circuit built into a reclaimed Philips 70's era EL64007 PA head!
The original guts of the Philips have been removed and all of the components including eyelet board and transformers are brand new and spec'd to the Deluxe 5A3 schematic by Marc Vos, of Fox Amplification.
The amp features the early '50's Deluxe TV Front 5A3 circuit which uses a duo of 6SC7 preamp tubes to deliver warm and creamy tone!
Just like the original, this amp has two independent channels - Instrument and Microphone, with a shared Tone circuit.
Detail build specifics include:
Tube Amp Doctor 6452L power transformer
Tube Amp Doctor 1839X output transformer
SoZo NextGen coupling caps
Alpha pots
Ceramic film resistors
F+T electrolyte capacitors
Cloth covered wire
PTP wiring
Included tubes are: 2x NOS 6SC7, 2x 6V6, and a NOS 5Y3. The amp is built to run on EU 230v current.
This is a one of kind amp with TONE and HIP factor!
Please note there is a cosmetic flaw to the amp, the lower right hand corner of the front of the amp has been dinged - it was like that when we reclaimed it and we left it as is. This does not impact the performance or function. Consider it relic'd.
