Gibson Custom Shop “Inspired by John Lennon” Les Paul Junior – 2007 – Limited Edition (#201/300)

Offered here is a 2007 Gibson Custom Shop John Lennon Les Paul Junior, numbered 201 of only 300 produced. A highly collectible piece, faithfully recreating one of John Lennon’s most unique modified instruments. Originally a standard Les Paul Junior, Lennon had his guitar modified by Long Island luthier Ron DeMarino, converting it into a two-pickup configuration. This included the addition of a Charlie Christian pickup in the neck position and the installation of an ABR-1 bridge. The Gibson Custom Shop has meticulously reproduced this instrument, including the distinctive Cherry red finish, applied after the original sunburst had been stripped, as well as the subtle aging and wear patterns.

This example is in excellent condition (9.5/10), 100% original, and has been very lightly played. No breaks, cracks, or repairs.
