Up for sale is another very cool bass: a well played 1966 - 1968 Fender Precision Bass, sunburst color. 

While almost all of our instruments are "in excellent to almost mint condition", or "part of a large private collection that only includes highly collectible and pristine instruments" etc... well, this one is not.  

This bass is made of a 1966 Fender Precision Bass (neck, pickup, hardware, tuners, string tree, pickguard, shield, neck plate, volume pot, cap) installed on an original 1968 Fender Precision bass body (no refin, no routing, no repair).  Tone pot is from 1970. The bass has been inspected and authenticated by famous French luthier Didier Duboscq. So its basically a 1966 Fender P bass with a 1968 body.

The body has got play wear but the bass is structurally sound. There is still plenty of life in the frets and the bass is strung with flat wounds.

It comes with a non Fender old hard case.
