Blimey! These chaps are nearly twice as large as all the other similar format transformers we have - huge! As you'd expect from components used by Neve in their compressor and preamps, they sound beautiful. Can of course be pushed into all kinds of saturation colours .... but these guys (for me anyhow) shine on low saturation settings, so any audio you run through them just sounds richer, more lush - and much more 3d. For whole mixes I'd personally use them like that - but for individual instruments or instrument buses - push into them as much as you want. It might sound a tad overdriven in solo - but once back in the mix it'll just sound settled and right.
They're a lovely pair - and will bring you much joy in your mixing and audio manipulation!
