The Dean USA Patents Pending ML Classic Black is a stunning tribute to the very first Dean ML guitars, built with absolute attention to historical accuracy and premium USA craftsmanship. This flagship model faithfully recreates the original “Patents Pending” ML, right down to the patents pending stamp on the back of the oversized headstock, honoring Dean’s rich legacy in electric guitar design.
This guitar is brand new and unused, in flawless condition.
Constructed with a mahogany body and a maple top, the ML delivers massive sustain, thick mids, and a powerful low end, perfectly suited for rock and metal. The set mahogany neck, carved into a Patents Pending-spec C-shaped profile, offers fast yet comfortable playability, enhanced by distinctive red side dots, a unique vintage-correct detail.
The ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays and 22 jumbo frets ensures smooth bends, precise articulation, and excellent note clarity across the full 24 5/8” USA scale length.
Loaded with a pair of legendary DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers, this ML produces high-output tones with incredible punch, sustain, and harmonic richness—perfect for classic hard rock, heavy metal, and high-gain lead work.
