Here we have an unbelievable find. This is a Teisco Del Rey ET440 offset in vintage showroom condition with four proper DeArmond Spectrum pups, scrolled pickguard, damper and trem system in electric blue. This guitar is in unplayed condition! It's completely original with the headstock badge intact.

It plays great. The neck is comfy and straight with a working truss. Frets are good. You'll want to set it up to your liking and put some new string on it. THE SOUND is AMAZING These DeArmond split coil Spectrum pickups are so hot. Each one has it's own on/off kill switch so the tonal options are endless. The news can't be all good though. It has a minor crack forming on the headstock though it is clean, stable and easily glued. The body is remarkably clean with only a small surface crack (between the tailpce and bridge) no checking, chips or scratches.

This ET-440 spectrum is from the late 60’s and was considered one of their top of the line models for that time. It came with 4 pickups, a mute handle at the bridge, a whammy bar and an insane amount of switches. They were available in sunburst, bright blue and red finishes and had a nicely etched pickguard with a vine pattern. There is information suggesting that Teisco used maple, mahogany and birch for their bodies. I believe this blue one has a maple body. The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard and plastic block inlays. The headstock is Strat-like with 6 inline tuners and a rosewood veneer on the headstock. The neck is fairly slim like most Japanese guitars from the 60’s. It feels comfortable and is easy to play.
