Vintage RARE 1956 Kay Model K32 Sunburst Super Grand Archtop Neck Reset Pro Setup New Strings Softshell Case

A beautiful 1956 Kay model K32 Super Grand Archtop Hollow Body Guitar. This beauty has original everything including the logo, and includes the shown Softshell Case that is in great vintage shape. It was played a lot in its life and we have it ready to go for the next lucky owner!

These Archtops were only made by Kay in 1956. It was the only year they made this guitar with this logo... The original Single Line Kluson Tuners were made from 1956 thru 1964 so we feel confident of the age of manufacture of 1956. Its all original to include the bridge, tailpiece, pickguard, nut and tuners.

These guitars sound great ..nice and bright and really loud. The Laminated Maple back and sides help that. Laminated Spruce top that looks great with the original Sunburst finish. got a cool Walnut fretboard that I hadn't seen before. The three piece headstock had some loose on the treble side at some time. It was reglued when we got it. Our Tech declared it wasn't going any where so we left it alone. See pic 7. Some dings here and there but no cracks and the neck is still nice and tight to the body. It was unplayable when we got it. Our Luthier did a great job doing a complete NY neck reset. It plays better than when it was first made! Bar chords up and down the neck are no problem now! We have it set up properly with a new set of strings..Its ready to go! We also moved the tailpiece to a proper alignment to the neck. Our Tech wondered how this guitar ever played in tune the way it was. See pic 9. It plays and tuners great now!

The guitar has a Super Grand size body which measures 15 1/2 inches on the lower bout. It has a 25 3/4 inch scale neck with the nut measuring 1 11/16 inches. The neck a somewhat D shape to it that feels great in the hand. It plays great!

The original case was missing so we are shipping it in the shown softshell case that is a newer model. It fits it great. A great home for your cool guitar.
