VINTAGE ORPHEUS PINK BRASS TROMBONE | KYIV, UKRAINE, 1982 | SERIAL #54

This listing is for a beautiful vintage Orpheus slide trombone, produced at the famous Kyiv musical instrument factory in Ukraine (former USSR) in 1982.
The horn is made of brass with a warm, slightly pink-gold tint which gives it a very elegant, respectable look – it immediately reads as an expensive, carefully kept instrument.

The trombone has been well looked after for more than four decades.
The slide is oiled and moves freely, all parts are present, and there is almost no oxidation.
It is sold together with its original mouthpiece and original hard case with light pink interior.

CONDITION

  • Overall condition: excellent for a 43-year-old instrument.
  • Cosmetics: one very small micro-dent (please see the photos).
  • Finish: original brass with a soft pinkish tone, light honest patina only.
  • Slide: oiled, moves freely along the whole length.
  • No missing parts, no structural damage noticed.
  • Original mouthpiece included.
  • Original hard case: locks work, padding is clean and fresh, exterior is in very decent condition for its age.

I am not a professional musician, but even to my eye this trombone looks like it has lived in caring hands. If I were buying it for myself, I would happily use it either as a playable horn or as a statement décor piece in a music room, loft, bar, studio or office.
