moddict FZ-2F [Fizzle Guts Clone/ Casio FZ-1Filter module] 2025

The Moddict FZ-2F is a clone of the ALM Busy Circuits Fizzle Guts.
It is a dual filter module that uses a rare filter IC, which is found only in the Casio FZ-1, FZ-10M, and FZ-20M.

The Moddict FZ-2F uses an original panel design.
The panel is labeled "Dual Digital Analog Filter," as the nature of the FZ filter has been a subject of debate among experts, with opinions divided on whether it is digital or analog.
This label was deliberately added to reflect that ambiguity:)

The filter, in my subjective opinion, has a lo-fi character and a dark quality that feels very much in line with the FZ.
As for the specifications, I believe the small digital noise that arises depending on the filter position contributes to its unique texture.
It features CV inputs for both the filter and resonance, a VCA, and a mixed output from the two filter outputs.

The power cable and mounting screws are included.
