Super RARE Vintage Top Range Yairi YW-1200 1974 + H/Case + Pro Setup

Here we have a rare opportunity to acquire one of Yairi's top line models.

The YW-1000 is the guitar people usually go for.

However this YW-1200 is even higher in the range and really is Yairi's hidden gem, with the more sober, understated cosmetics and material excellence over bling, unlike the lesser models this is an all solid wood, hand made masterpiece.

It is worth considering that K. Yairi's earlier guitars, as made from around 1973 onwards were made by his own hands.

Higher quality materials were also more readily available in the early years, so you can be sure this piece has not only the best materials, yet also made by the man himself!

The Japanese Ezo spruce top board is nothing short of ridiculously ancient!....

Also a magnificent sounding piece, it is the oldest soundboard we have ever seen on a Japanese guitar and the growth rings are so close they can't be seen without at least some magnification! 

So we can say, she is not a general production model and very likely to have been made by K Yairi himself, these rarely show up for sale outside of Japan and even there they are very seldom seen.

The condition is well weathered with no repairs or issues, even so it is fair to be describing as 'very good' condition as there are no cracks, which is unusual for any 50+ year old solid wood vintage.

A modern set of Grover tuners is fitted for reliability, the originals are included and would be easy to swap over to restore originality, as per your preferences.

With K. Yari guitars there is a feeling of craftmanship that isn't generally seen on factory guitars, ie you can tell that you are handling a genuinely hand made piece of artwork as oppose to a factory product, this piece from the early 70's is really where it was at for Yairi, and the best are no better.
