Unmarked, this cello is in remarkable condition, not a scratch or mark to be seen. The instrument was inspired by La Fenice opera house in Venice, which since it was built in 1755, burned down 3 times, 1774, 1836 and most recently, in 1996. The original owner commissioned David Bruce Johnson at Violectra in 2004 to build this amazing cello and in 2006, Phoenix was completed.
