This is a two way switched multiple or "signal router". Both jacks have the same output and can be switched between with the toggle switch. When the switch is forward, voltage can pass through the bottom jack, when switched back, the voltage passes through the top. This also works in the opposite direction, with one input and two possible outputs.
This tidbit is ideal for sending two different modulation sources or voices to the same location and switching between them. When used with a clock divider, it allows you to easily switch between clocks without the need to change the patch.
