1977 Blonde Gibson L5-CES. This one-owner instrument has been a gigging guitar for 45 years and is in excellent condition. It’s ready for a new player to give it its next 45+ years.
This guitar is a ‘player’ in excellent condition. I bought it new November 1977. It had a fret job in 1992 with the nibs replaced with fingerboard-width fretting. The original pick guard gassed out and has been replaced with a Paul Fox Tru-Vintage pickguard. The Gibson warranty shop in Nashville did a full checkout and cleaning in 2021, replacing screws, brackets and pickup covers damaged by the gassing. They also provided a replacement Gibson-logo case (the ‘Acoustic’ case was their best fit - the original case disintegrated back in the late ‘80s). I have captured all the dings and scratches in the attached photos; the stain on the back is from a foam guitar stand pad from when the guitar was new. I did keep all parts replaced due to gassing and will include those if requested.
This is a great-playing and sounding guitar ready to be played for at least another 45 years.
