Roland JX8P FULL membrane replacement_Authentic Replica 2022 Grey

This is an authentic replica with a few arguable improvements.

• Please note, we intentionally made the patch names / button text a bit clearer and sharp ( less fat ) that the original. We find it easier to read.
  
• It is slightly thicker than original and will last longer. button depression still works but may need slight washer adjustment of internal switch board with 0.2 mm shims.

Please position this panel over your synth before fitting.

Colours matched as close as possible using actual JX8P. This is the original design ( version with orig patch names ), to give your JX8P that fresh, original look again. Also available in original style ( without patch names ), JP 4 and SH 5 inspired custom styles to follow.

This is a full membrane cover, not an overlay. It replaces your current panel after removal.

Comes with self-peel sticky backing that is precision cut so that no glue is where the buttons are on your synth.

Note : This new panel is much more durable that original and slightly thicker. If you try it out over your old panel before fitting, you’ll see everything will work ok, but there will be a difference in the flexibility and travel naturally. So, as you are fitting a new panel to an old synth, there may be several reasons why the buttons ‘still work’ but don’t actually click the same way. For instance, every circuit board will have different degrees of flex, wrong screws in it from past owners, possible different switches, board thickness changed throughout production etc. Please don’t despair - If this happens, simply add nylon washers to the board to step the buttons a few microns away ( 0.2mm - 0.3 mm etc ). We have had many cases when this is just not needed and some do.

Fitting is easy :

You need insulation tape ( or any tape that’s not too sticky ) this is to hold new panel in place while peeling backing.

Hair Dryer to loosen the old panel and glue residue.

Sticky stuff / Glue remover ( when get going, a ball of residue is great ).

A scraper, soft edged so not to scratch the metalwork.

Damp cloth to wipe panel once stripped. MAKE SURE NO bits left. Also the damp cloth can leave moisture that can help the new panel move slightly if required.
