Our customers are just loving' this tube; see feedback at the bottom o this page. "Our highest-output rectifier tube. Originally used in early higher-powered Fender® amps (40 watts or more) with tube rectifiers; also used in the Vox® AC30." The 5AR4 GZ34 is used by many folks to replace 5Y3GT and 5U4GB for a bit more output and an overall stiffer sound. Audibly and operationally tested by Angela Instruments. We want the tube to work in your amp so we test 'em in ours. Not just once, not just twice but THREE TIMES. As a final performance test we measure the plate voltage (e.g. 389VDC) under load in a real working guitar amp to ensure stability. Unlike some of our 'newbie' audionut competitors, we don't just 'speed test' our 5AR4s in an emission 'tube checker'. If the tube fails in normal service within 12 months send it back to us and we'll replace it. Why so cheap? We bought a big bunch of these from overstocked/downsizing Fender Groove Tubes 'bulk packed' in crates of 100 tubes. This specific tube has slightly tilted glass. This cosmetic defect doesn't affect the operation or the longevity of the tube whatsoever. If you're not super fussy here's a bargain for you.
