This kit is made for use in Epiphone guitars to enable the use of Gibson pickups with Quick connectors.
This is a 1:1 pass through adapter - any adaptation to your preferred pickup brand will need to happen at the pickup adapter - meaning you will have to "re-code" the pickup connector to match Epiphone connector sequencing.
After installing this adapter on your Epiphone guitar you will be able to swap in pickups with the smaller Gibson Quick Connector (they are not the same size).
With this adapter you will have the highest level of flexibility. With the adapter installed you can use Gibson pickups. If you later want to swap back to an Epiphone style Pickup - just remove the adapter and you will still have the OEM installed Epiphone connector (no modifications made to the guitar - sweet). Or you could run any combination of Gibson AND Epiphone pickups at same time.
These adapters are not standard off-the -shelf, but custom hand made.
These connectors will fit other Epiphone guitars using the 5 pin connector type found on the newer models like the Les Paul and SG type. Please do your own research to verify compatibility. If in doubt you are welcome to contact me and I will do my best to advise you.
