Custom Duo-Sonic type Relic Shell Pink

This is a lightweight guitar with that classic Fender vibe, but with a hardtail string-through bridge for tuning stability and sustain - a great guitar that's a bit different than the Strats and Teles you see everywhere.

Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups, an MIJ Fender Pawn Shop series Mustang Special neck, and a custom reliced shell-pink over smoke green body (paint and relic work by Custom Relics of Pekin, IL). Under the paint the body is a 2-piece in poplar with a belly cut as well as a forearm contour. The body was routed to allow a toggle switch on the lower horn to control the pups - this gives more flexibility that using the traditional sliders alone. The P-Rails are wired so the switch above the neck pickup controls that pickup, and the switch above the bridge pickup controls that pickup. Coupled with the 3-way toggle on the lower horn, you can get combinations like the neck blade pickup paired with the bridge in humbucker mode, both pickups in P90 mode, stuff like that. Really versatile. I have posted a pic of the wiring diagram to help illustrate this. The neck has a 60s "C" shape, 9.5" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, 24" scale length (short scale), 1.650" nut width. Tonally this guitar is absolutely magical and plays like butter! Comes with a really nice hybrid hard/soft case by Walker & Williams that uses a honeycomb stiffener (see images).
