Gibson 70's 'Tar Back' Epoxy Potted Humbucker, with a Nickel cover.
This pickup came out of my mid 70's Gibson SG like the one pictured. Yup that's what we did. Pull out great pups, and throw in Super Distortions. I still have the bridge pup. It's a TTOP. I might sell it on Reverb next.
These rare, vintage pickups referred to as "Tar Back's" are one of a kind pickups that were potted in epoxy for a super clean PAF sound, with absolutely no micro-phonic feedback. Then it can be cranked up to take advantage of the pickups clarity and crunch at volumes that would be tricky to control with a regular unpotted one.
Pickup has 11" of lead. Reads 7.50k ohms resistance.
