Ampeg Dolphin 518 1961 blue sparkle, Original Jensen P12NX ext range speaker!

1961 Ampeg Guitar Amplifier Dolphin 518 20watt excellent condition

This is an incredible Jazz guitar amplifier. It is very rare.

It is all about clean and quiet running with this amp. No effects, the preamp and power amp section are separate for decreased noise.

I had this amp completely gone through by Curt Emery of emerysound.com. See receipt pic.

This amp is in really excellent condition. I have hardly use it since. I have way too many amps!

This is a super special speaker. I have seen them sell for $250

1959 Jensen P12NX (wide range, extended range) 12” speaker, rebuilt by Weber (see receipt pic). I believe this speaker was an original factory upgrade.

It is running 5881 tubes now. It is cathode bias so you could use your 6L6 tubes.

The amp has a simple mod which can be turned on or off. Stock, with negative feedback loop for clean. ON, it removes feedback loop and adds a little more distortion.

It has the Baxandall tone circuit which I think works really well around the mid range especially for dialing in a jazz guitar tone.

This control was also used on the Johnny Smith Ampeg guitar amps. This is a very similar amplifier.
