RARE 1985 Vintage Wal Mk1 MkI Custom UK British Bass Natural Canadian Maple Burl, Brazilian Mahogany

This is an incredibly rare hand-made custom bass from the very best British manufacturer of bass guitars: Wal. These are legendary and championed by A-list artists and producers around the world. This particular model is a 1985 model produced during the  Ian Waller era prior to his untimely passing in 1988. Only the very best woods and components are used to construct these fine instruments. There are a pair of matched coil pickups for each string! The tone is incredible. This guitar features a Brazilian Mahogany core with Canadian Burr Maple caps. It has premium Schaller tuners as well and comes in its original red alligator-croc case! From Wal:

Our traditional body construction consists of a one-piece mahogany body core with bookmatched timber facings on both front and back. Darker facings typically feature a maple veneer between face and core.  Our necks feature a six-piece laminated construction made from rock maple and mahogany. Fingerboards are rosewood and are carefully selected and hand-finished. Our fretted necks feature medium size nickel silver frets and are inlayed with round Mother-Of-Pearl face and side position markers.

All our basses feature our flat response, humbucking pick-ups. Hand made by us they contain a pair of matched coils/pick-ups for each string, designed to eliminate imbalances, crosstalk and intermodulation. Their polished and plated pole-pieces are also height adjustable. Our 4-string pickups are moulded in black A.B.S. and fit into a surround, with three point spring mounted height adjustment.

There are of course minor marks here and there from 32 years of music history in the UK, but overall an extremely presentable bass! International buyers welcome!
