CG Conn 80 A Victor Silver Long Cornet 1925 W/Case

Condition: Very Good

This vintage long-model cornet features a large .484-inch bore, delivering a dark, rich, and resonant tone that bridges the gap between a cornet and a trumpet.

Longer and narrower than a standard short cornet at approximately 16.5 inches long without a mouthpiece, it showcases a wide wrap and generous bell for enhanced projection and tonal depth. The large bore design produces a warm, complex sound ideal for classical cornet repertoire and ensemble playing.

Built in Bâ™ and A with a quick-change mechanism or micro-tuning adjustment slide near the leadpipe for precise pitch control. Three bottom-sprung vertical piston valves provide reliable operation and smooth valve action.

The silver plating gives this instrument a distinguished appearance while contributing to its tonal characteristics. Includes original case for protection and portability.

A sought-after vintage cornet for serious players and collectors who appreciate the tonal qualities and craftsmanship of early 20th-century Conn instruments.
