Studio Precision and Focus: sE Electronics sE8 Supercardioid Small-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Handcrafted Capsule with Extreme Off-Axis Rejection

The sE Electronics sE8 Supercardioid expands the acclaimed sE8 small-diaphragm condenser series by incorporating a precision-engineered supercardioid capsule. Built around a handcrafted, gold-sputtered true-condenser capsule, it delivers a sweet, smooth high-end response paired with tight, low-frequency extension. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides extreme off-axis rejection and high gain-before-feedback, making it the ideal choice for isolating acoustic instruments, drum hi-hats, cymbals, and solo performances in loud stage environments and controlled recording studios.

Pro Features and Signal Control

• Handcrafted True-Condenser Capsule: Individually tuned, gold-sputtered 1/2" capsule provides immaculate transient response and natural acoustic balance.
• Supercardioid Polar Pattern: Focuses tightly on the sound source while dramatically suppressing spill from adjacent instruments and monitor wedges.
• Selectable Pre-Attenuation Pads: Integrated -10 dB and -20 dB pad switches allow the mic to handle extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL) without overloading.
• Low-Cut Filter Options: Switchable 80 Hz and 160 Hz low-cut filters eliminate low-frequency rumble, proximity effect, and mechanical handling noise.
• All-Metal Housing & Gold XLR: Rugged metal chassis and gold-plated XLR connector ensure reliable signal transfer and long-lasting durability on tour.
