Yamaha YD9000 Pre-recording custom 18" Bass Drum 1978 - Stage White

Up for sale is an absolute holy grail for vintage Yamaha collectors and bop players: a genuine YAMAHA YD9000 (pre-Recording Custom era) 18" × 14" Bass Drum (Model: BD-918A). Made in Japan.

While 22" and 20" bass drums are common, the factory 18-inch bop size in the 9000 series is extremely rare and was produced in very limited quantities. It is widely considered one of the finest recording and jazz bop bass drums ever built.

Driven by Yamaha’s legendary 100% Hokkaido Birch shell, it delivers punchy low-end body, exceptional acoustic articulation, and remarkable dynamic sensitivity that cuts through any mix.
An exceedingly rare opportunity to own a museum-grade 18" YD9000 bass drum.
