I am offering a better than Excellent condition {dare I use the "M" word here?} ONE OF A KIND guitar from the old crew at Heritage guitar, former Gibson craftsmen. They were still there when this guitar was special ordered. This guitar was made back before Heritage introduced CNC, and where still making them by hand, just like they did when it was the Gibson plant. This was a friend of mine's retirement guitar. He passed away back during Covid and his wife sold it to me. Helped pay some final expenses and I was happy to help. I really didn't need this guitar, I bought it more to help his family out than anything else. It is a GORGOUS guitar and a truly one of a kind, a special order. Headstock is bound. Custom Sierra sunburst color {not the common tobacco or cherry burst}. It came from the factory with 1950s wiring, right down to the oil filled capacitors. They do make a tonal difference, I didn't use to think so until I heard it for myself. On the inside of the control cover is a Heritage label, signed by every Heritage craftsman who had a hand in building this fine guitar. Even three of the four original principals that started Heritage hand signed this label {see the picture}. Not a mark on the guitar, no repairs, I don't think he played it that much as the frets still look sharp. I know I have played it only a handful of times, but it does sound ESPECIALLY GOOD. Neck is like a 1959 Gibson LP, it's got some chunk, but not over the top chunky, easy to cord and get around. I really wanted to keep this guitar, but I am not getting younger and an downsizing for a move to a two bedroom house in a Florida retirement community. I've set a four guitar limit for myself {three electrics, one flattop}. Look the pictures over good and ask any questions you might have. One last thing; This guitar is not a boat anchor at all. It is on the lighter side, which is nice for us older guys with bad backs. I can actually play this LP style guitar standing up for over an hour, and that's saying allot for a guy with scoliosis.
Can someone answer a question for me? When did a guitar's weight become the most important thing about it? I remember when that was never a consideration. We USED to care more about how a guitar played, sounded, had any repairs, meaningful things to a musician. Now the first and sometimes only question people ask is: "How much does it weight?" Anyway, some people just have to know, so I weighted it. It's 8 lbs 4 oz. Not bad for a LP style guitar that hasn't been "weight relieved" {all carved out}.
