Selling my Dave Smith Instruments Desktop Evolver, a unique monophonic hybrid synthesizer combining analog and digital synthesis in a very compact format.

The Evolver has a really distinctive character: it can go from warm analog basses and leads to metallic, distorted, evolving and completely experimental sounds. With its two analog oscillators, two digital wavetable oscillators, analog filters, extensive modulation options, feedback and built-in sequencer, it’s an incredibly deep synth for sound design.

What makes it especially interesting is its stereo architecture and the amount of movement you can create inside a single patch. It can sound clean and musical, but it really shines when pushed into more aggressive, strange and unpredictable territory.

A great machine for techno, electro, experimental electronic music, drones, basses and complex evolving textures.

Compact, powerful and increasingly hard to find.
