Selling a very rare, original 1966/67 Teisco Spectrum 5 electric guitar. These were the top of the line model for Teisco and cost as much as many USA instruments at the time. It features high gloss finishes, German carve on the body, stereo outputs, and probably one of the most fluid vibratos you will ever use. They were leaps and bounds better than 95% of the Teisco lineup.
This particular one has the seldom seen fully painted neck and matching headstock, but has unfortunately been heavily played and needs some TLC.
There is a lot of wear, especially on the back of the neck. The electronics function but need a through cleaning and going through and the switches can be finicky. it does appear at one time the pickups covers and switches were spray painted gold which has now mostly worn off. Pickguard has some shrinking and a couple breaks and the guitar is also missing one knob. frets are a bit low but it actually plays very well. It doesn’t need a ton, but it does need enough to merit it a project and to be sold As Is. Feel free and message me with questions. If I can find a hardshell case that will fit it, I will include it- otherwise I can supply a gig bag, or I can take the neck off the body and save you some money on shipping costs.
Thanks
