About this listing
Here for sale we have a Gretsch G9200 Boxcar Round-Neck Resonator Acoustic Guitar in Natural Satin finish. Made in China in 2013, this guitar consists of a Laminated Mahogany body with a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic Spider Resonator Cone and Bridge, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Padauk fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover Open-Gear tuners, a Weathered Trapeze Tailpiece, and a Bone nut.The neck has a Soft “V” profile that is very playable in its semi-gloss finish, allowing the hand to move fluidly around the fingerboard. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret and the medium jumbo fret wire feels rock solid. The body is rather light, which is uncommon for a resonator, but provides a very lively and responsive playing experience whilst also being far more comfortable to play standing up. The tone of this guitar is very punchy and focused, with great projection and a solid midrange that will cut through easily in a mix. It responds well to touch dynamics and articulates well, offering a rootsy tone that would be a fine addition to any guitarist’s arsenal. With its hollow body & metal cone, this guitar really lends itself to screaming blues. A very unique and exciting instrument that is sure to inspire.
