About this listing
This second hand guitar is a beautiful Fender Custom Shop Broadcaster 70th Anniversary Time Capsule, produced in a limited run in 2020 to celebrate Fender’s 70th anniversary. The Custom Shop is best known for its relic finishes, but from time to time they produce “NOS” models—new-old-stock—featuring specifications inspired by the brand’s legendary models. This Broadcaster, produced to celebrate Fender’s 70th anniversary, is a version of the famous Broadcaster that marked the beginning of the Fender legend. The guitar is built around a swamp ash body and features a pair of 50-51 Blackguard pickups that deliver that famous twang. The neck, with a compound radius of 7.25″–9.5″, has a fairly modern profile in the higher registers while retaining the comfort of the 7.25″ radius in the lower registers. It’s very comfortable to play. The guitar comes with an alternative wiring plate so you can explore new soundscapes if you’d like.Overall Condition: The guitar is in excellent condition, except for a small chip at the heel/neck joint (see photo). It has been played very little, and the frets show very little wear, resulting in low string action. It has just been set up by our luthiers. The electronics are in perfect working order. It comes with its original tweed case and all its certificates.Specifications:Swamp ash bodyColor: Faded Nocaster BlondeNOS Time Capsule nitrocellulose lacquer finish (non-relic)Single ply black Nocaster pickguard“51 Nocaster” neck in rift-sawn maple with lacquered maple fingerboard, “1950 Blackguard” profile, compound radius 7.25″–9.5″, 21 “medium vintage” frets, thickness at the 1st fret: 0.925″, thickness at the 12th fret: 1.00″, “Broadcaster” decal on the headstockVintage-style tunersNeck plate engraved with “70th Anniversary Broadcaster”Pickups: a set of “50-51 Blackguard” pickups that deliver the sound you’d expect from a true vintage Telecaster.Wiring: The guitar comes with two wiring options.
