Here for sale a superb tightly matched pair of "A"NOS RCA 6L6GC black plate, with same date code !
They're getting very very rare in good working condition. ( I honestly hesitated a lot before listing this pair too...) And these ones are in TOP almost new condition. Almost New Old Stock.

Test results:

Tube 1     114%

Tube 2    115 %

BLACK PLATE, double side O getter. Tall glass version.  Exact same model from same batch with same date code,

Date code on both tubes 7617.

Which mean they were made in April 1976. So one of the last production of these Black plate jewels...

These 2 tubes are incredibly strong and measure at perfect matching on my trusty Jackson 648S.

Super rare to see those tubes with so nice getter flashes. ALL THE FOUR FLASHES are absolutely superb very large, mirror like and shiny.

Super high rating absolutely no leak, no wobble on base and passed all tests with great success.

Those  black plate RCA 6l6GC are the grail for the huge the majority of vintage Fender owner but also in the high end Hifi world. When you play them you understand why...

Sweet, full, very rich sound. These tubes have their own character but serve music with the perfect amount of beautiful coloration.
Hear and feel the difference of true vintage tubes.

Life test...

The Jackson 648. It is definitely one of my favorite tube testers. While it does not employ a mutual conductance test circuit, it does use an advanced emission circuit that applies separate element voltages to each tube element, and separate load circuits are also used. “These voltages and loads have been carefully selected for each tube to meet most ideally the normal operating condition of the tube.” (Source: 1950 Jackson catalog.)

In my experience, the Jackson circuitry is very effective, and often will surprise you with accuracy that approaches Hickok’s coveted “mutual conductance” test method. ( Source tubesound web site.)

I do my best to test and describe the tubes the best I can.

Note that test results may vary from one tester to an other so this must be taken as an indication, although my Jackson is regularly tested for calibration.
