BOSS SD-1 Super Overdrive C4558C [264000] (06/22)

The gSD-1h has long been beloved as BOSSfs classic overdrive pedal.

This unit is equipped with a NEC C4558C op-amp. Serial number 264000. It is believed to have been manufactured between 1981 and 1982.

This unit bears the gRoland Japanh marking and features a Taiwanese circuit board, dating from the period when production methods began to shift away from the so-called gpureh early MIJ models.

The natural drive feel produced by asymmetric clipping remains intact, offering a natural midrange presence that pushes the amp forward and a smooth, rounded distortion. Itfs easy to use not only as a standalone overdrive but also as a clean boost, and its high practicality on stage is a hallmark of this model.
It shows significant signs of use, with numerous scratches and stains, but functions perfectly.
