2023 Kauer Banshee Deluxe Stonewash Flame Top, Near-Mint w/ Wolfetone & Bigsby

Up for sale, a 2023 Kauer Banshee Deluxe in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. Expertly crafted in Sacramento, CA, Kauer’s boutique builds are renowned for combining classic Gibson-style designs with modern touches, and the Banshee is Kauer’s take on the Firebird platform. This Deluxe iteration of that flagship model features Spanish mahogany neck-through construction, a flame maple top with a gloss Stonewash finish, Rickard Banjo tuners, and an upgraded Bigsby B5 vibrato with Vibramate. Outfitted with a pair of Wolfetone KauerBucker pickups, this Banshee Deluxe has been re-pleked and modified at the Kauer factory with two-way Coil Split, Cocked Wah, and Phase Reverse switches (factory documentation is included).

Weighing 8lbs 3oz, a bound wenge fretboard and Spanish mahogany body wings round out the tonewood complement, and the neck-through construction provides plenty of natural resonance and sustain. Wound by Wolfetone specifically for Kauer, the Wolfetone KauerBucker humbuckers meter 7.4k ohms at the neck and 8.5k ohms at the bridge, delivering big, bold tones with excellent articulation and taut, snappy lows. They’re decidedly vocal sounding pickups, clear but with just enough bark, taking gain notably well for monster chords and singing leads. The Coil Split, Cocked Wah, and Phase Reverse two-way toggles expand the tonal range of the humbuckers; the Coil Split enables single coil snap and sparkle, the Cocked Wah has a midrange-focused effect, and the Phase Reverse delivers a distinct out-of-phase sound. This Banshee Deluxe has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
