The Gibson Les Paul 1957 Billy F. Gibbons Pinstripe Goldtop is a strictly limited collector's item par excellence. Only 100 specimens were produced in this "Aged“version (as well as 50 aged/signed and 150 VOS models). Its look is, of course, pure Billy Gibbons. In imitation of the original it has pinstripes on the fine gold finish, designed by the Reverend himself. Likewise, Billy is responsible for the belt buckle rubbing on the back of the guitar in the shape of his home state of Texas with special attention to Houston. Of course the aged version also comes with an authentic vintage patina with countless small and larger quirks, as well as the characteristic greenish-yellowed abrasion. Playing this chambered replica is excellent due to its dream weight of only 3280 grams and the Custom Billy Gibbons neck profile (0.9''-1.01''), which fits perfectly in the hand. And there's really not much to say about the sound. The two Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates deliver pure ZZ Top sounds. The sound presents itself crisp, fat and three-dimensional in every possible pickup combination, which is continuously selectable via the two volume controls and a tone poti (no toggle switch!). Phenomenal Texas sound, here "La Grange", "Jesus Just Left Chicago" and "Tush" pearl out of the amp as if by themselves. This Holy Trinity of killer look, Texas tone and unbeatable rarity guitar in absolute collector condition
