Rare Premier Signia 15" tom in Ebony Gloss (piano black) finish, fitted with a Gauger/Purecussion/GPI Dynamount suspension system for use as a floor tom.

I bought this drum after years of looking for a 15" Signia tom to expand my own kit, but shortly afterwards I found another one in the correct finish for my set. This one is therefore now for sale.

The drum is fitted with an extremely rare Gauger/Purecussion/GPI Dynamount system for 15" toms instead of the original Premier tom mount.

Condition:

The tom has been fully disassembled, cleaned and serviced. The shell and hardware are structurally sound. The original bearing edges are in excellent condition; I only applied a little carnauba wax as part of proper deep maintenance.

Lugs, tension rods and metal parts are in excellent condition, with very few signs of age. All parts are original, except for one small screw that I replaced.

The Ebony black finish has some cosmetic rubbing/marks, probably due to previous sanding of small scratches. These could be removed with proper polishing. I have tried to show them as clearly as possible in the photos, but they are only visible from certain light angles.

The drum is fitted with two original Premier heads of the type originally supplied with the Signia series. The batter head, a Rod Morgenstein Signature model, is practically unused.

The Dynamount has been fully refurbished. The old rubber parts have been replaced with original Gauger/Purecussion/GPI Dynamount parts, which alone cost €45 plus import duties. The floor tom legs are very sturdy WorldMax legs. This mount alone, in this rare size, is worth at least €150.
