FRAMUS tenor banjo, Standard 200/Solist series, ser. no. 29665 - 71F, made in june 1971. This banjo was upgraded with a FRAMUS archtop tone ring by exchanging the Standard 200 pot (having a metal band tone ring). Further, the aluminum flanges were replaced by Ni plated metal flanges. The banjo is refurbished and in a very good condition, a crack in the heel was perfectly repaired by luthier Pendennis (Schönkirchen/Kiel), see fotos. Narrow mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, 19 frets (plus zero fret) with very low fretwear. Dark brown mahogany resonator mounted to the flanges with 4 thumb screws. New REMO head (size 11 1/8 inch, bottom coated), standard FRAMUS tailpiece, new 3-legged GROVER bridge (1/2 inch height), tension ring with 18 nuts and aluminum hooks. Weight ca 4.3 kgs. Sounds great in Irish tuning (G-D-A-E, new strings, size 36w-24w-18w-12, ball end), but also very suitable for Jazz tuning. Loud and clear tone due to the tone ring. No case available. Plus shipping costs (20 EUR in DE, 45 EUR within EU, 50 EUR to UK)
